Today we welcomed back our wonderful Patron of Reading, Smriti Halls, who came to spend the day with us. Smriti shared with us lots of updates about what she's been up to... and spent time getting to know each of our classes a little better! During assembly this morning she introduced us to her brand new book, Free to be Me, a story about stepping to your own beat... something we are really passionate about at Fishbourne Primary! Not only that... the very special and lovely news that Smriti had dedicated this wonderful tale to 'all the wonderful children and staff at Fishbourne Primary!' How incredibly exciting! Huge thanks to @smriti_halls_author for a wonderfully inspiring day. We can't wait to see you again in the autumn term!

As part of our OPAL journey, we are working on the development of a Community Garden which the children will be able to access as part of their OPAL experiences in school! We have a very exciting vision for the garden and look forward to seeing the development over a series of stages. If you'd like to get involved, do let us know! #maketheworldbetter
