Lordington Lavender
Chameleon Class had a wonderful trip to Lordington Lavender where they enjoyed a tractor and trailer ride around the farm, stopping off to sample different crops such as wheat, barley or beans and learning about how they are grown and used.
They also visited a wonderful wild flower meadow and saw some lovely butterflies and heard some beautiful birdsong.
During their visit they also had a short talk about bees and why they are so important, they had the opportunity to sample some Lordington honey, smell the lavender before looking at the essential oil it produces.
This was followed by some free time to explore the lavender rows.
